Will there every be any events like this in Florida? At the very least, I'd be interested in attending. At the most, I'm also a producer and performer who could help book the act with some local artists who have a fairly large draw. I wouldn't mind promoting for a closer venue, either.

After the 26th, though, I'll be on house arrest / work release (hence my blog, "The Collar"). Any time 100 days or so after that, I'm definitely free and available to participate on such projects.

Glad to see that there are people in the hip-hop community who are working towards noble goals.

Im glad to see that someone is doing clean hip-hop especially since its for a good cause since most hip-hop is about sex, drugs, and crime keep up the good work.

there's actually many people doing hip hop on many topics. What they show in the movies, on TV, and on the radio is a small percentage of rap coming continously from the same major media companies. A lot of the time, those companies are interested in what will give them the most money the quickest, so that's why you're seeing more the same. If you dig a little, you can find some good clean artists like the ones coming to this event, and Othello, Ohmega Watts, and a LOT of other cats.

    great work homie!
keep representing the balance in hip hop! as a middle-aged hiphopper who has lived to see the public perception go from bad to worse, it's good to see people sharing the BALANCE of what hip hop is!
    holla!
    samax.

thanks samax/ghettomanga, though I would question the image in your blog's banner as being unrepresentative of your blog as it seems to be perpetuating a negative image, I still appreciate the comment.

Also, I want to say that this is just one event ya'll are making a big deal out of it peoples! I still appreciate it but there are a lot of people who've been doing a lot better things for a longer time than I. I think I'm getting more thanks than I deserve!
