Thanks for visiting! I made this website as a way to promote a single Hip Hop event at my school, and this benefit concert is happening on February 27th at Rogers High School in Puyallup, WA at 7pm. I'm hoping to make a difference with this event, and I'm hoping that a lot of people in my area will be able to come, but if you're not going to be able to, there's a link in the upper right corner of this blog if you want to donate directly to a charity.

Blogs of Note is a listing that is very hard to get on and I'm so excited that I got on there! I never thought that this would happen. I guess I should say "hi" to all the people visiting this page. This Hip Hop Hunger blog is really just an example of me using the Blogger system to create a webpage though I did spend quite a bit of time on it!
For those who'd like to read my actual "bloggy blog", here's a link for ya!

I'm a 17-year-old 12th-grader in high school who is currently pursuing a career in rapping. About a month ago I performed a written rap on stage for the first time and I was hooked! Well now I'm going to be performing at this Hip Hop Hunger event and I'm stepping it up to two songs! Well it's a start but I'm going to be blogging about my story so if you're interested in my pursuit of doing clean and inspiring Hip Hop, and my unique "hand-drawn" graphic design, here's the blog for that: read more at Survei Hip Hop
Thanks so much for visiting!

Hey I wanted to say that I've been getting a lot of encouraging comments but some of them are from people who have like 20 blogs about very unrelated and SPAMMY topics. I would love to publish your comments but sometimes I gotta put a halt on spam.
But I want to say that I read and appreciate all the comments!
Hey....good luck with everything you do....and keep reaching for the stars!!!!!
thanks, that means a lot! Of course I know about the ills of the recording industry and major labels but a lot of people have found success independent from that. But I don't want my head to get too big, because I'm only performing for my second time next week. :) The comment is very encouraging!
hi

Why don't you set up an account on something like www.justgiving.com so that people visiting can make a donation the HipHopHunger. Make the most of all this publicity.
Very cool to see what you are doing.
i love that you're doing what you love. i'm a senior in college and you'd be surprised how many people have no idea what they even like to do. pursue your passion! rap away! fans will follow regardless of record deals.

charming idea hope it works out, but dont bank all ur dollers in the one piggy. life is unpredictable, have something to fall back on.
oops, made a typo in my comment! I'm sure that happens all the time.
Here's the comment without the typo:
Word up. I'm just going to be taking this one step at a time as God leads and maybe this will take me somewhere. But my other interests are graphic design, and also economics, because no matter what I do to make a living, what good is it if I don't know what to do with money
congratulations on becoming a blog of note. it was well deserved!
i agree that hunger is a majour problem and it is very inspiring to see someone doing something about it. as others have said, good luck in everything. keep the dream alive, keep trying to make a difference in the world!

this sounds great but where can i get on to see some great music that will fund the food for american children dying in poverty? i mean do i have to go hit up eminem or what?!
Word, America's got it's own problems too. I think that is a great idea for an event, ladyghez, and I think that you should do it. If you have that passion I think you should go for it!
Wow great blog....keep it up
Wow!

Combining your love for Hip Hop and a cause worth dying for is noble prize material.

You seem innovative and ambitious. If you don't make it as a rapper, you could try as a promoter.
I think that rap is a true art form. I've been listening to rap for some time and have seen good and bad, but most have delivered a tru message. If rap is your passion make it meaningful not just to be in the spotlight!!
Hip-hop is true art if you decide to persue this in any form then please make it real and stay true towhat hip-hop has been and what you think it should become!!
I love your logo!! And what you're doing is fabulous!
Good luck. Rock out hard!
